Terra-cotta Horses

Day 1

Pick you up in time at the Beijing airport and transfer you safely to the hotel. A paper board with the sign of your name will be held high at the airport exit. The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.

Day 2 (B, L)

Xian is one of the four major ancient civilization capitals, enjoying the equal fame with Athens, Cairo, and Rome. Today explore the glorious city in Forest of Stele Museum, Ancient City Wall, Shaanxi History Museum, Xian Imperial Fine Arts Center.

Forest of Stele Museum: Forest of Steles  Museum contains a large Confucian collection of steles cut in 837AD, various calligraphy and scripts telling stories, poems and reports, and early sculptures and objects from imperial tombs.

Ancient City Wall: One of the most complete city defensive system in the world. The wall has watchtowers, ramparts, wall gates, compared to a similar function of Great Wall in a certain way.

Shaanxi History Museum: A good-sized national museum which houses the best cultural heritage of Shaanxi Province and shows the systematic development process of Chinese civilization.

Xian Imperial Fine Arts Center: Appreciate Chinese jade carvings and lacquer ware , and learn about their making process.

Day 3 (B, L)

Today we are able to visit the world reputed Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses. Besides, visit Banpo Museum, Tang Dynasty Show, and  Chongde Handmade Pottery Factory.

The Terra cotta Warriors and Horses: It is one of the most significant archeological finds of the 20th century. The ‘underground army’- 6000 life-size painted terracotta warrior and horses individually sculpted from real life models and arranged in battle formation have been protecting the mausoleum of the first emperor in Chinese history- Emperor Qinshihuang for 2,200 years.

Banpo Museum: The museum displays remains  of  a 6,000 year old Neolithic village, such as stone tools, spinning wheels, daily living utensils, huts, kilns and tombs.

Tang Dynasty Show: The show reapears the dances and music of Tang Dynasty’s according to various relics, historical records. You will surely be immersed in the glory of that time.

Chongde Handmade Pottery Factory: Where you are able to buy the  copies or souvenirs of Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, otherwise, appreciate the pocerlain handmaking process without a cent.

Day 4 (B, L)

Enjoy the beautiful landcapes of Huashan Moutain with a roundway cable car.

Huashan Moutain: Mt. Huashan is known as ‘The Number One Precipitous Mountain under Heaven’ and one of the five sacred mountains in China. It is famous for its grotesque cliffs,mainly consists of five peaks which look like five petals of a flower.In the past, many emperors came to pray and sacrifice to the god of Mt. Huashan. Mt. Huashan is also a holy mountain of Taoism. It is said that Lao Zi (Lao Tzu), the founder and patriarch of Taoism, once lived and gave sermons here. Now, many Taoism temples are also located on Mr. Huashan.

Day 5 (B, L)

Visit the Huangdi Mausoleum and Xuanyuan Temple today.

Huangdi Mausoleum: Located on the top of the Qiaoshan Hill. Huangdi is the ancestor of Chinese popople. Yandi is another ancestor of Chinese people, and even now Chinese claim themselves as Yanhuang Zisun( descendants of Yan di and Huang di).

Xuanyuan Temple: Located at the foot of Qiaoshan Hill, the temple  was built with architechtures distributed in south, north, east and west respectively. There are also a showroom for cultural relics.

Day 6 (B, L)

Continue our tour in Xian by visiting Qianling Tomb, Famen Temple, and the Tomb of Yangguifei, one of the Four Beauties in Acient China.

Qianling Tomb: The joint tomb of Emperor Tang Gaozong (628 AD-683 AD) and Empress Wu Zetian (624 AD-705 AD), the only empress  in Chinese history.

Famen Temple: Famen Temple is a Buddhist Monastery with a history of 1,700. There was a pagoda which fell down in the rain and revealed a 1000 year old undergound vault filled with 2,400 treasures including gold and silver utensils, precious textiles, pearls, porcelains as well as religious items. He shi Buddahist Pagoda was built there in May 2009 and is the tallest Buddhist pagoda in the world.

The Tomb of Yangguifei: Yangguifei is the concubine of Emperor Tang Minghuang. Their beautiful and heartbreaking  love story has been widely circulated for generations.

Day 7 (B)

Be transferred to Xian airport.  Wish you a pleasant journey and thank you for using our service.
